Summary: Luke never returned after the Second Death Star was destroyed, and Leia, Han and all of the New Republic believe their hero is dead. Time moves forward and on the first anniversary of the fall of the Empire, Leia tells Han the truth about her relationship with Luke.

Author’s Note: This short fic was the start of something that was supposed to be so much longer, involving Mandalore, Din Djarin, Grogu, badly hurt Luke, and the usual cast of character. It's been sitting in my WIP folder for almost two years. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to finish it, but I think the beginning can stand alone as something angsty and kinky. I've chosen not to tag for Major Character Death because, well, in my head, Luke isn't dead (see AO3 tags).

It's also why I haven't put my usual fic-ending "FIN" at the end of it.

Author’s Note:

Three years ago, I found an amazing story, Ever Since Happiness Called Your Name, and it became my perfect fanfic. I have read it so many times, I can recite parts of it. I was lucky enough to meet WriteStuff, the amazing author of this amazing story, and even luckier to become friends with her, amazing person that she is. For the last year or so, we have spent many hours each week (or day) talking about Kal and Ben and their lives. They are quite real people to us now.

One of our conversations centered around a comment Kal made at the end of Beyond the Rightness and Wrongness of Things, when he's talking about his relationship with his father. He seems so facile about it, and I just called bullshit, and said I'd like to write a timestamp exploring the truth of what really happened between Kal and his father. This story is that.

WriteStuff was not only my cheerleader and alpha-reader, but she was a critical reader too, making sure my vision of Kal and Ben stayed aligned with hers, but she also gave me amazing freedom, too. Working with her and her creations and George's (well just barely George's now) has been an honor.

The title of this story is borrowed from the poem by Yehuda Amachai, Wildpeace, which is reproduced in the endnotes.

Series: Finding a Star
Summary: Qui-Gon can see that his husband's foster son, Luke, has a very interesting relationship with his own brother-in-law, Han, and he's frankly curious about what's going on.

Luke has no issues about telling him.

A timestamp for The Stars Across the Sky Like the Scars Across Your Skin, delving into the Skywalker/Organa/Solo family legend (or more accurately, family bullshit) and what really took place that one summer on Nantucket Island.

Author’s Note: I'd like to say this story is strong enough to stand alone and you don't have be reading either The Stars Across the Sky Like the Scars Across Your Skin, or This Is the Time of the Lost and Found, but I'm thinking it would probably help, at least in understanding why certain characters appear in the prologue. If you aren't reading those two Modern AU stories, but you're here for the Skysolo and the Han/Leia, then you can skip the prologue without losing any of the actual plot of the story.

Teaser: "You know, I still haven’t gotten the whole story of how the two of you almost hooked up." Din pulls Luke into his embrace. "I mean, I know the important details - how Leia caught you and Han sucking face, how she watched until you went onto your knees and were just about to give Han a blow job before she interrupted, fists swinging. But I think there’s more to the story than that."

Qui-Gon hears something in Din’s voice, that little bit of lust that makes Qui-Gon believe that Din is more than a bit turned on by Luke’s almost-history with his brother-in-law.

"You want to give the them whole story, Flyboy?" Han asks, his head in his wife’s lap. "You’re the storyteller in this family, after all."

"Sure, why not." Luke shrugs. "Can’t promise that you won’t fall asleep, though. It’s not that exciting."

"Don’t sell our almost-love story short, kid."

Luke rolls his eyes and Qui-Gon wonders just what can of worms he’s opened."

Summary: Harry Hart, Director of Acquisitions for the Lepidopteral Catalog at the London Natural History Museum, is on his way home one Sunday afternoon, and encounters a lovely young man selling a rare collection of butterfly books in an antique fair. Of course he has to stop and take a look, and it doesn't take a scientist to see that this young man is as rare and special as the books he's selling.

Eggsy's a young man working hard to support his mum and baby sister, but the three jobs he's working at barely help make ends meet. A lucky encounter with a posh gent who just happens to want to buy an old set of books he's got might just give him a way out of a live of endless poverty.

Author’s Notes: Written for [personal profile] binary_sunset for the 2019 Age Gap Exchange. They had asked for gentle lepidopterist Harry in an academic setting - this is close to that and I hope you like it. I'm also a trifle embarrassed at the length of the story - 36k in one go is a lot of words, but every time I tried to make it shorter, I only ended up writing more.

I didn't tag this as a crossover, but Victoria and Ivan are characters from RED/RED 2, and my head canon is that whether the story is canon-adjacent or AU, Victoria is the only woman Harry's had sex with (and if canon-adjacent, other than on a honeypot or within mission parameters).

Author's Notes: Written for the 2019 [community profile] poetry_fiction challenge, for the snippet from O Great Beauties! by Tishani Doshi

Just explain the mystery to me.
Did darkness burn all around?
Or did you see, as I see—a quiet wood
Outside the town, with a banquet
In a field of belladonna?

I don't know why, but this snippet took me in the direction of Kingsman meets Downton Abbey (or Brideshead Revisited, or God Is An Englishman if you prefer), or maybe I just wanted an excuse to put Harry and Eggsy in period formalwear.

Summary: Set immediately after the events of Into The Speed Force, Barry doesn't go to Cisco's, but decides to bunk down at S.T.A.R. Labs, where he has a strange and painful late-night conversation with the Labs' permanent resident, HR Wells.

Author’s Notes: I've had a very hard time getting a handle on HR Wells. He's annoying, but at the same time, intriguing. We have no real clue as to his motivations - unlike Harry or EoWells, and despite the massive amount of words that come out of his mouth, we still don't know why he's here. The scenes with Jesse have given me a hint, and this story explores certain ideas. Please pay attention to the tags for this one. If you need more detail, please see the end notes.

There is also the tiniest hint of a crossover. If you know about my other fandom interests, you'll pick up on it.

Summary: A direct sequel to It's Thin Line (between love and hate). At the end of that story, Barry and Eobard had negotiated a cease-fire to the centuries of hostility, but it doesn't last - not for an hour, or even a minute. At least not until a pair of happily married doppelgangers decides that enough is enough.

A/N: Written for Day 03 of Fic-Can-Ukah, for @Timeforalongstory (Kyele). They asked for the prompt: "What it Means to be Remembered" and EoBarry. This might not conventionally fit the prompt, but it is a story I know that they have been waiting for. Tangentially fits into the EoBarry Revealed 'verse.

There is a special joy in writing in a fandom that has time travel and the multiverse. You don't like the canon versions? Just invent new ones. Both sets of Eobards and Barrys are non-canon, although one pair is closer to canon than the other.

Title (and much of the mood of this story) was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song, Don't Give Up.

Summary: Set about five years after The Silence Between the Birdsong, Joe West and Harry Wells are in a relationship that is much more than casual. Harry, however, is having some difficulty accepting that his brilliant daughter is going to be building her own life with the man she loves. Joe, who has never been shy about expressing his feelings for this difficult man, is the voice of common sense.
A/N: Written for Ladyofpride's Harrison Wells Appreciation Month. I was lucky enough to get a chance to write Harry interacting with both Jesse and with Wally West, but this is first and foremost, a Jarrison fic with all the Jarrison feels I could manage, and then some.

I'm really kind of shocked that no one has done this yet, fused Ed with The Flash, but there's always a first time for craziness. And a quick primer if you don't know anything about that show. Ed was a New York lawyer on track for the big leagues, when he screwed up a contract he drafted, misplacing a single comma. He was fired and went home to find his wife in bed with a mailman, so he took a trip back to his hometown of Stuckeyville, Ohio. And bought the local bowling alley. That's all you need to know.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] theatregirl7299 for her cheerleading and encouragement and advice, in addition to her fabulous beta work. Also, thanks to SuperSnowstorm Jonas for keeping me inside for two days straight.

Title from the Peter Gabriel song, Blood of Eden.

Summary: Set very early in the Wonder(ful) Years 'verse, when Peter and Neal are freshmen at Harvard (circa 1984). Neal feels like he's been waiting for half his life to have sex with Peter, if just because Peter won't go all the way with him until he's actually seventeen.

Summary: Peter Burke, a young FBI agent, meets June and Byron Ellington during an investigation of a series of mortgage fraud cases. They take him under their wing and become his surrogate family. During his first visit to the Ellington mansion, he sees a magnificent portrait of a young man and becomes captivated. June and Byron invite him to spend Christmas Eve with them, and he begins to notice something wonderful about the portrait. For a little while, it comes to life. For almost twenty-five years, Peter spends Christmas Eve with the Ellingtons, and each year, he grows closer to the man in the portrait.

A/N: Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] kanarek13's artwork – or more accurately, the concept that Kanarek told me about, which set my brain whirring. I had the basic idea of this story plotted out before she finished the piece. I'm only sorry it's taken longer than I'd planned to finish it.

For those who are unfamiliar with this ‘verse, it is an A/U where Peter and Neal and Moz and Elizabeth and Diana were friends since elementary school, and it follows their lives (mostly Peter and Neal) from childhood in the 1970's and '80s through to the modern day.

Warnings/Enticements/Triggers: References to the events of 9/11 in New York City, reference to the death of a non-canon character.
Word Count: ~14,000 total
Beta Credit: [livejournal.com profile] miri_thompson, [livejournal.com profile] coffeethyme4me
Summary: In the near-canon A/U, Nothing Will Remain, Peter and Elizabeth had been divorced for years, but remained very close friends. This is the story of how they met, forged an unbreakable bond, and why, when Peter is gay and is not in the closet, they got married. This story can stand alone, but the experience will be richer if you’ve read the other fic.

A/N: Written for the 2013 White Collar Hurt/Comfort Advent over at [livejournal.com profile] whitecollarhc. And I guess it's now official (if it wasn't apparent before) that there is a "Nothing Will Remain 'verse". When you write 30k for two stories in less than three weeks, it's pretty clear that there's a 'verse in the works.

Title from Oysterband's "Only When You Call."

“Burke, my office.” Hughes, the new ASAC for the White Collar division, gave him the double finger point summons, an unnecessary accompaniment to his terse order. Peter jumped up, grabbed his notebook and all but ran up to the conference room. He didn’t think anything was wrong, but he was still feeling his way with this legendary agent.  )

Characters/Pairings: Mozzie, Diana Berrigan, Theo Berrigan, Reese Hughes
Word Count: ~1600
Spoilers: None

Summary: Mozzie is delighted to spend the day with his little namesake, Theo Berrigan, and they go for a walk in the park. Mozzie’s brother joins them. A light-hearted addition to my Unusual Relations series that started with Kinship Analysis and continued in Old Haunts.

Author’s Note: Written for the fifth night of Fic-Can-Ukah for my friend, [livejournal.com profile] algeiban. Her prompt was "The World Before You Were Born" and she simply let it be ‘writer’s choice.’ The title is from a quotation by Nelson Mandela, Our human compassion binds us the one to the other - not in pity or patronizingly, but as human beings who have learnt how to turn our common suffering into hope for the future.
