Summary: Obi-Wan Kenobi has never known it, but he has always been the Force’s Champion, destined to suffer infinite sadness in defense of the Light. On his last turn on the wheel, responsibility for The Chosen One, the false child of prophecy, had been thrust upon him with no warning, and Darkness held the upper hand.

But this time, the Force has marshaled its power and will protect its Champion until the time is right, no matter how long Obi-Wan has to wait and how much he has to suffer.

Or,

Obi-Wan is reborn as a twelve-year old.

He wakes up on a slavers’ ship, with all of his prior life’s memories intact, and he’s bound for Tatooine with a Force-inhibitor collar around his neck, a bomb implanted in his spine, and no way of knowing what state of the Galaxy is in.

Just another day in the life of the Force’s Champion.

Chapter Summary: Two weeks or so after Komari Vosa tried to assassinate Qui-Gon Jinn at the start of the Naboo — Trade Federation trial in the Galactic Senate, her body turns up in a small park across from Cantham House, the residence of the Alderaanian Senate delegation.

Senator Prestor calls the Order, and a whole host of Jedi respond.

That’s when the shitshow begins.

I glad to be back. I took off these two+ months because I had gotten some difficult health news, and I needed to be able to deal with it without distraction. It’s not resolved and likely, it’s going to kill me eventually. But not today. Today, I’m dealing with other issues, like pain (unrelated to the big problem). Sigh, it sucks when the real world interferes with the fun stuff.

But in good news, I’m twenty chapters ahead, which is important to me. And I know where the end-game is. Not 100% how it plays out, but close. Things are complicated, sooooo many moving parts in this story.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Chapter 42 is interesting. A huge chunk of it is told from the POV of a very minor character, so minor that he might as well be an OC. But it’s easier to fill in the bits about Komari’s demise from Agrippa’s POV than doubling back around and retelling it twice over. Besides, I like Agrippa, he’s a smart and loyal hound to the Prestor family. And if there’s anyone who deserves loyalty, it’s them.

And please don’t think I’ve forgotten about Bail and his problems. We’ll get back to him in a few chapters, in a big way. It’s just that everything can’t happen at once.

So, Qui-Gon and Rael got their freak on. Pity they aren’t going to get a good morning lie-in, but Rael’s too used to fucking and running. It’s what makes Rael, well, Rael. And he’s a pretty considerate bedmate. It’s Qui-Gon who somehow turns into a major asshat.

Yeah. This version of Qui-Gon, who has been the model of Masterly patience and kindness, has suddenly become unrecognizable. So. Damn. Cruel.

You might be asking yourself, what the hell just happened here? I’m not going to spoil things too much, but I promise you that it doesn’t last long and Qui-Gon feels like freshly dropped banthashit when he realizes what he has done. He’s going to grovel hard. And so he should!
