Perfect ending--and a simply gorgeous homecoming. Everything works about this chapter: Neal's regret as he feels his life slipping away; El urging Peter; Peter finally confessing what has been locked away in his heart all along. And especially Neal's realization that the entire transformation was really a gift--a gift that almost went unappreciated and unfulfilled.
Mozzie is just excellent here too; knowing when to step away, but also when to come back.
I simply adore this story. Fantastic writing from first to last!
