White Collar Fic - Privilege
Mar. 14th, 2012 09:58 amTitle: Privilege
Author:
elrhiarhodan
Fandom: White Collar
Rating: R
Characters/Pairings: Peter Burke, Elizabeth Burke, Neal Caffrey (P/E/N), Diana Berrigan, Clinton Jones, Reese Hughes, Isabelle Burke (OFC)
Spoilers: None
Warnings/Enticements/Triggers: None
Word Count: ~7500
Summary: Peter’s sister comes to pay a visit; she has a problem that only he can help her with. Neal gets dragged in, and everyone gets a chance to be clever.
A/N: This story was originally published in March, 2010, and written just after the first season ended with a bang. Jeff Eastin played fast and loose on Twitter, telling us that Season 2 would be all about how Peter and Neal cope with Neal’s new role as an undercover agent for OPR, and that sparked the idea for this tale.
This was the third or fourth story that I posted and for some reason, I thought I needed publish in multiple postings (d’oh!) and it’s always bothered me. A friend recently asked for a complete iteration of the stories in the Paladin ‘Verse and having Privilege listed out of order and with six separate entries is annoying. But there was lots of lovely feedback and I don’t want to lose that if I took the original entries down.
Many thanks to
leonie_alastair for the correction to Isabelle's CV.
( The day started out fine, better than fine actually. Solid casework by the entire team resulted in a dozen arrest warrants, each one flawlessly executed against a network of illegal securities traders in three cities. But it took a nosedive when Peter and the team came back from a long, celebratory lunch and he saw who was waiting for him in the conference room. )
